**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray, AB. **You will make an impact in the following ways** : + Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. + Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs + Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools + Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees + Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians and/or Supervisor + Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:** **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** + Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory for these roles. + Valid driver's license + Clean driver's abstract **Experience:** + Basic level field service work experience + Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products. + High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional) + Customer service experience **(Intermediate):** + Completes complex internal engine repairs + Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision **About the role:** + Position is based out of Fort Hills, camp based, with flights out of Edmonton and Calgary + Shift cycle is 7x7 on rotation day and night. + Work will be predominantly supporting the shovel fleet, including electric shovels. + Position is safety sensitive. + Random alcohol and drug testing to be expected on work site. **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
