ON-SITE Production & Inventory Coordinator - Stellar Manufacturing

SUMMARY: Plans, documents, communicate and coordinate production schedules for the plant. Working with Supervisors, personnel in the shipping and receiving department and the office sees that materials required to meet the production schedule are available. Works with Supervisor on resolving issues relating to availability of materials required to meet production schedule. Modifies and adapts production schedule to accommodate changes in customer demand. This role is an on site, full time opportunity at Stellar Manufacturing in Sauget IL. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generates monthly and weekly production schedules. Distributes schedules to production supervisors and other interested parties. Modifies schedule as needed. Follows up to see that production schedules and goals are met. Gathers data for production planning and discusses production scheduling options with interested parties. Generates work orders per the production schedule or per the production planners, on what is needed to be made during that shift of production. Modifies work orders to improve description of components or to reflect changes in what is used to make product. Compares production schedules with inventory levels for the purpose of identifying potential inventory shortages and resolving them. Works with Inventory, Buyer and Shipping/Receiving to see that we have the inventory we need on time and in sufficient quantities to meet the production schedule. Counts materials, finished goods and supplies and post totals to inventory records. Prepares periodic and month end reports required by customers. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of materials finished goods and supplies and calculates inventor balance, price and cost. Reconciles the difference between physical counts and the inventory records and adjust errors in computation of or count and reports reason for discrepancies, Inputs receipts, transfers, production, and shipments to inventory system and makes appropriate records adjustments. Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items. Maintains inventory and shipping records in the Stellar system and for some customers in the customers on site system. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal education such as an Associate Degree in a business related discipline or one year of experience working with inventory related systems. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions percentages, area, circumference and volume. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, must be Proficient in Excel Prefer an individual who has worked with MAS 90 accounting software.

Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; use of hands to touch, handle, or feel Employee must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Employee may be exposed to various chemicals and weather elements Employee must be able to wear a respirator and/or other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary to reduce exposure Employee must be able to work in heat and cold
