Qualifications:

Required:

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursingMinimum (2) two years recent/current experience in specialty required  Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

 Preferred:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ EndorsementBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

Per Diem3 - 12.5 hour shifts per monthTwo of these shifts on a weekend 1 - 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (July 4th, Easter, Labor Day)1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)

Essential Functions:
The Registered Nurse RN organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
