Omni- Junior Trader- Associate / Sr. Associate

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Trader to join our Central Trading Layer (CTL) team within our Riverview Omni Master Fund -- a market neutral, factor constrained Hedge Fund launched in July 2021 which currently manages ~$2.5 Billion of AUM. The Fund employs both internal and external risk takers – combining fundamental equity sector specialists with a variety of quantitative trading strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience in financial markets across a broad range of the investment and risk process. The Junior Trader will assist with trade execution, market analysis, risk monitoring, and support the daily trading operations across various asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:Execute trades under the supervision of a senior trader across equities, derivatives, or other instruments.Monitor markets and analyze trends, news, and data to support trading decisions.Maintain and update trading metrics, trade cost analysis (TCA), commissions, slippage, and analytical tools.Assist in pre- and post-trade processes, including trade reconciliation and performance reporting.Help ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management guidelines, and regulatory requirements.Communicate effectively with internal teams including fund level risk, operations, and compliance.Contribute to strategy development through research, back-testing, and data analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.1-3+ years of experience in a trading, investment, or financial analyst role (internships included), preferably within equities or related securitiesStrong interest in financial markets and trading.Proficient at an intermediate level in Python or R is preferred, while knowledge in SQL, Tableau, Excel VBA and Bloomberg /VBA is certainly a plus.Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.Strong data analysis, visualization, problem-solving, and communication skills.High attention to detail, integrity, and a strong work ethic.Preferred:Prior internship or exposure to trading environments.Familiarity with trading platforms and order management systems.Progress toward CFA, or other relevant certifications.What We Offer:Learning and development opportunities with exposure to live markets alongside a growing fund.Collaborative and dynamic team environment.Potential for growth and promotion within the trading desk, risk, and internal technology teams.
