Role Overview:
As the Lead Creative, you take on a leadership role, providing creative direction and overseeing projects that span across multiple mediums. You are responsible for ensuring that the team’s output is consistent, high-quality, and aligned with strategic goals. As a manager and problem-solver, you ensure that both junior and senior team members deliver work that upholds the highest creative standards, while fostering an environment of growth and innovation within the team.
This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days each week in the office. There is no option to be fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
• Brand
– Be proficient in branding and the nuances of brand development.
– Effectively communicates the importance, impact, and value of consistent branding
– Guides junior creatives in mastering brand execution, ensuring brand consistency across all output.
• Process
– Develops tailored processes and approaches for addressing creative challenges, using known methods and anticipating potential issues.
– Moves beyond standard best practices, discovering novel and unexpected solutions that are practical and impactful.
• Project Management
– Initiates and maintains regular check-ins throughout a project’s lifecycle to monitor progress and adjust timelines as necessary.
– Capably manages time, consistently estimating accurate timelines for completing tasks and projects.
• Production
– Maintains fluency in production, continually enhancing skills.
– Proactively seeks and shares knowledge about technological advancements that can impact production processes.
– Provides mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior members of the team, enhancing overall team capabilities.
• Creative Competency
– Independently develops relevant and innovative design concepts that push creative boundaries.
– Oversees entire projects or significant segments, ensuring creative coherence and excellence from concept to completion.
– Guides junior designers in their creative development, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

– Guides the team through changes and challenges, ensuring that adaptability is embedded in the team’s approach to projects.
• Communication

– Develops skills in conflict resolution, crafting compelling and clear written communications.
• Soliciting Opinion

– Enhances team skills through formal coaching (e.g., mentoring interns or junior designers). Drives initiatives that improve team workflows and enhance the professional lives of fellow designers.
• Culture
– Take ownership of team culture by introducing new activities and rituals that enhance team cohesion and spirit.
– Actively involved in the hiring process, from interviewing to improving recruitment strategies. Builds and maintains professional networks to enhance team capabilities.
– Drive projects and initiatives that benefit not only their team but also adjacent teams, enhancing the overall creative culture. Engages in external activities like speaking engagements and blogging to promote the organization’s creative ethos.

– Actively incorporate AI tools into the workflow of the team, ensuring that projects benefit from the efficiency and innovation AI provides.
– Guide junior team members on how to integrate AI into their work, showing them how to use it as a tool to elevate their outputs.
– Use AI tools to enhance collaboration and ideation during brainstorming sessions, generating diverse solutions quickly.
