What You Will Do
Become part of our team and play a proactive role in shaping the strategies necessary for our Private Capital clients to overcome their challenges and revolutionize their departments and organizations.
The Consultant position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience. As a professional member of our firm, your initial responsibilities will include:
Participate in end-to-end execution of individual projects. This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights. Supporting our Partner group in business development efforts, including proposal creation and development of thought leadership publications.Owning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.Being a key member of an entrepreneurial team – stepping up and taking ownership when needed, calling out what we need to do better and being on an on-going quest to make us better every dayWe are looking for individuals who take a long-term view, want to be a core part of our team and grow into the future leaders of our team and beyond.
Who Can Apply
2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization in financial services)A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settingsAn undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic programKnow how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good useNot just intelligence, but creativity too; you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problemsAbility to apply depth of content knowledge for thought leadership in project execution, and to develop new intellectual capital to support business development activitiesTrack record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented teamLanguage requirements: Fluency in English is required for positions in all Oliver Wyman offices; Fluency in Japanese is mandatory for all positions in Tokyo office; Candidates who have learned Japanese must possess a JLPT N1 certification.How To Apply
