Position: Azure Data Engineer (Offshore - Remote) Experience: 3 - 5  years Start Date: Must be able to start in July Engagement Type: Full-Time About the Role: Smartbridge is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and ETL processes. Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF). + Design and implement data models for efficient storage and retrieval in Azure Synapse Analytics. + Optimize SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets. + Work with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other cloud data solutions. + Implement data security measures, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking. + Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Technical Skills Required: + Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines. + Azure Synapse Analytics – Data modeling, performance optimization. + SQL Server & T-SQL – Writing complex queries, stored procedures. + ETL & Data Transformation – Experience handling large datasets. + Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage – Managing structured and unstructured data. + Power BI or other visualization tools (preferred but not mandatory). + Python or Spark (Databricks experience is a plus). Additional Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. + Microsoft Azure certification (preferred but not mandatory). + Experience in Oil & Gas, Healthcare, or Food & Beverage is a plus. + 100% remote role – Must be available for the second shift to overlap with the US team until Noon CST. + 3-month probation period before full-time confirmation. If certification is not already held, it must be completed during probation.
