Offset Sheetfed Pressman
MAU is hiring an Offset Sheetfed Pressman for our client in Garner, NC. As an Offset Sheetfed Pressman, you will lead the press crew and operate an offset printing press, ensuring high-quality production and efficient setup, maintenance, and operation. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Benefits Package 401(k) Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Accidental loss coverage Long-term disability insurance Paid holidays Paid time off Shift Information Second Shift | 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM 3 shifts per week (12 hours each) No Sundays Required Education and Experience 2+ years of experience as a Pressman OR 5–7 years of experience as a Second Pressman General Requirements In-depth knowledge of offset press mechanics and capabilities Ability to accurately distinguish color variations Strong mechanical aptitude Experience in press troubleshooting and quality control Ability to read and follow written instructions for press setup and operation Frequent lifting, bending, and turning Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility Regular exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils Essential Functions Make ready and operate offset printing press Examine job order for print quantity, stock specifications, colors, and special instructions Inspect offset printing plates and repair minor defects or escalate major ones Apply packing sheets to blanket cylinders to match plate thickness Measure paper and adjust cylinder spacing based on paper thickness Regulate ink and dampening solution flow to the plate cylinder Start press and monitor output for ink density, alignment, and registration Adjust press settings throughout production to maintain quality standards Adjust feeder and delivery mechanisms as needed Replace worn rollers and adjust roller pressure using hand tools Lead, direct, train, and monitor press crew Follow all company safety protocols Perform required maintenance and cleaning of the press Working Conditions Climate-controlled facility Physical Demands Frequent lifting, bending, and turning Regular standing, sitting, reaching, and movement throughout the facility Exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils
