Job Summary
Manage inbound and outbound shipment including arrange, follow up and expedite of shipment via air freight, sea freight, courier services and land transportation with appointed freight forwarders or Logistics Service Providers (LSP)until the shipment reach Robert Bosch Plant or assigned external warehouses or Consignee Address or Customer Destination. Support on the ad-hoc shipment and special shipment arrangement.To ensure the optimum and cost-effective goods delivery services to our customers and push for the most reliable and efficient solutions from our LSP or Forwarders.Perform cost calculation and cost comparison for freight rate quoted by Logistics Services Providers (LSP) to provide best freight cost to planner/requestor (e.g. ISTAR preparation).Perform weight breakeven calculation and advice on transit time for each mode of transports to requestor/planner.Be innovative and persistent to work out the most sustainable cost-effective delivery solution to fulfill the customer and business needs along with the company growth. Provide best resolution to all the inbound and outbound shipment issues.Lead and liaise with LSPs who perform customs clearance services on behalf of ASA Hub are adhere to the incoterms and furnish LSPs with Harmonized System (HS) Code confirmation base on Bosch Customs Exemption List.Improve and implement written guidelines and procedures for Transportation Management and Traffic processes within department and integration of other departmental documents process as a part of the entire delivery systems.Plant freight spending for both Export and Import Shipment versus PO/FO amount via the Statement of Account (SOA) or Tax Invoices provided by LSP. Once it exceeds the Purchase Order/Framework Order Amount, raise a new PO/FO or top up existing PO/FO immediately to ensure there is no Maverick Buy (MB) issue.Manage and evaluate Logistics Service Providers (LSP), Freight Forwarders/Carriers’ Performance through Monthly LSPs Performance Review Session to optimize Plant Delivery Performance and meeting with plant requirement as well contract / Service Level Agreement.Participate and support improvement Initiatives and projects including coordinate all Transportation Management Improvement Projects and follow up on the closure of each action plan with respective functional teams and area owners.Liaise with Central Purchasing Team on the LSPs Contract and communication of substitution/change of LSP for all shipment or countries routes.Drive and lead continuous improvement projects related to all transportation management improvement and Freight Cost Saving.Manage day-to-day customs formalities requirement / applications.Liaise and interface with Customs for renew annual/yearly import and export licenses.Preparation and submission of LMW Monthly and Yearly Report to Customs on timely manner– M1, M2 and M4 as well as Monthly Sub-contract Report (If required).Coordinate all customs related audits with respective functional teams and area owners.Be roles/content expert on customs compliance and able to give advice/consult on the customs requirement to all the Internal customers.Any other duties, tasks and projects assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.Job Scope
Inbound and Outbound Shipment Management.Transportation and Traffic Management.Freight/Shipment Rate Verification.Plant Freight Spending versus PO/FO budget monitoring.Interact with cross-functional team within Plant and Bosch.Interact with external parties – Logistics Services Providers, Customs Malaysia, Dangerous Goods Specialist etc.QualificationsDegree in any discipline with related working experience.Knowledge and Exposure 5.1 Minimum 5 years of working experience in logistics field or dealing with Logistics Service Providers/Forwarders and Customs Malaysia.Knowledge, Skills and Ability 6.1 Must be computer literature – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Exposure and experience to SAP or WMS.Exposure and experience to Customs Malaysia regulation and procedures.Exposure and experience in 3PL Management background.Competence in Customs Filling System and Customs Declaration System
