We are seeking an experienced Office Technology Specialist to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As the Office Technology Specialist and extension of the Helpdesk, you will provide technical support and guidance to end users, both in-person and remotely. Your responsibilities will include setting up and installing PCs and monitors, diagnosing, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth operations of videoconferencing and audio/video equipment. Additionally, you will coordinate service and maintenance for office technology equipment and report issues to the Supervisor.

Provide prompt technical support to end users, resolving issues and offering guidance.Set up and install PCs and monitors, ensuring optimal functionality.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.Perform PC swaps for users, including imaging, setup, data transfer, delivery, and installation.Support videoconferencing and audio/video equipment.Coordinate service and maintenance for office technology equipment such as copiers and plotters.Report technology-related issues and provide systems reports.Update/maintain verified PC for NQA-1 analyses.Travel on an as-needed basis. QualificationsEssential skills and qualifications include:
A certificate in an IT related field or working towards a degreeExceptional troubleshooting skills for hardware and software problems.In-depth knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware components.Proficiency in Windows operating systems and common office software applications.Proficient in troubleshooting general applications and CAD/Engineering applications.Familiarity with wired and wireless networking.Relevant certifications (A+, Network+, Security+) are advantageous.Prior experience in government work or similar industry is desirable.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Self-motivated and capable of independent work.Collaborative team player.Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 poundsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
