General Summary:
The Director has general operational responsibility for Sponsored Projects. Will be responsible for managing the Office of Sponsored Projects and growing a strong public grants program in alignment with the strategic priorities and needs of Sheppard Pratt. Responsible for the preparation and management of grant proposals. Builds and develops cross functional capacity and reporting to meet Sheppard Pratt goals.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Position recommends a minimum of master’s degree in health care, public administration, or related field. Position requires at least five years of experience in grants and sponsored programs in a community behavioral health or health care setting. Experience in the interpretation and application of federal regulations, guidance documents, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of grant submission procedures; working knowledge of financial concepts to work with finance to prepare and oversee budgets; and a working knowledge of scientific standards and quality improvement methodology. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse internal and external constituencies. Work requires demonstrated ability to work independently on detailed analyses of complex policies, regulations, statures and guidelines, problem solve and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Proficiency in Microsoft Word products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and online public grant resources. High levels of confidentially with constituent information and financial records.Benefits:
