The Alumni Relations Student Worker provides support to a dynamic office focused on building and maintaining an uninterrupted connection between Belmont University and its graduates.
The position involves mostly sedentary office work at the Foutch Alumni House. However, daily errands around campus and occasional, on-your-feet event and program prep can be expected. Some heavy lifting required, but it is always a team effort.
Provide general office assistance like answering calls, responding to emails, inventorying items and running errands. Host Foutch Alumni House visitors. Manage online community membership requests and news submissions. Prepare database updates for Advancement Services. Support stewardship initiatives by crafting personalized notes and emails. Help with programming and events. Design graphics for communications. Assist office staff with special projects (as needed).
The position works flexible hours, Monday-Friday from 8 AM-4:30 PM. It is suggested student workers commit to at least 8-10 hours per week in the office. Some early morning, late evening and weekend work hours are available but vary with programming and events.
