Own and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Rio office, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-functioning work environment. Lead office infrastructure projects, and vendor management, including landlord relationships (multi-floor/multi-landlord), HVAC, and maintenance. Partner cross-functionally with IT, Security, and People teams to drive in-office employee experience, including events, site visits, and activations Design and implement strategies that make the workspace inclusive, productive, and aligned with Carta's values and employee needs Implement and monitor compliant health and safety procedures and manage vendor relationships Manage and report on vendor SLAs, and budget, driving savings and process efficiency The Team You’ll Work With

​​You’ll be joining the Real Estate and Workplace Services team at Carta. This team is responsible for creating exceptional, safe, and values-driven environments that enable Cartans to do their best work across the globe. We partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational reliability, exceptional hospitality, and efficient facilities strategies that align with Carta's mission. Though primarily based in the US, the team collaborates closely with regional partners including HR, IT, Finance and local Office Coordinators to bring together global context and local execution.

About You 5+ years of experience in facilities and workplace operations, preferably in fast-paced or multi-tenant environments (e.g., CBRE or JLL experience is a plus) Strong knowledge of Brazil’s labor and facilities regulations, including vendor compliance, building codes, and accessibility laws Responsible for developing and maintaining local emergency response procedures, including evacuation drills, access protocols, and communication plans aligned with regional risk factors Familiarity with local procurement and vendor contracts (e.g., how vendors are typically selected and managed in Brazil) Experience managing workplace tools/systems like Envoy, Slack, Jira etc. Experience supporting hybrid work environments Deep understanding of health & safety compliance and general facilities regulation in Brazil Demonstrated ability to lead office build-outs, manage budgets, interface with multiple landlords, and oversee day-to-day maintenance, HVAC, catering, and workplace activations Excellent project management, communication, and vendor negotiation skills. You’re proactive, organized, budget-conscious, and adaptable Strong cross-functional collaborator who partners with IT, and  People teams to ensure smooth, end-to-end employee experiences Advanced English required, with the ability to navigate global stakeholders and manage communications across time zones
