Front Office Specialist – St. Francis - Millennium

Job Summary:

The Front Office Administrator ensures timely scheduling of patients, verification of patient's insurance and benefits prior to their appointment and updating all information within our system.

Essential Functions: 

Collaborate with center staff to schedule patients for appropriate clinical coverage and clinical treatmentsEnsure availability of resources, supplies, and equipment for scheduled services                          Knowledge of all revenue cycle components, registration, billing, collections, and denialsPerform auditing to ensure documentation supports reimbursement

Education:

High School Degree or GEDAssociate Degree related to Business (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred)

Training:

EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)Continued professional development specific to patient registration, scheduling and referrals
 

Experience:

Recent experience in acute care, home health, or provider office (Preferred but not required)

Skills & Abilities:

Working knowledge of office and clinical technologies to update electronic medical recordsAbility to answer patient questions regarding their insurance, benefits, and billingEffective phone managementBasic knowledge of health insuranceMany of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:
