Work Location Springfield Campus Department Access and Success Programs Hiring Range $13.75/hour Sponsorship Information Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Department/Employer Operating Hours Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. How many hours per week are required? 10 hours/week max Description of Primary Duties The Office of Access and Student Success and TRIO Programs is seeking work-study students to assist us in performing daily tasks that ensure our office maintains a welcoming, positive environment focused on student success. A positive, friendly demeanor is necessary, and a can-do, willing attitude will take you far.
Your main role is to be a welcoming presence at our front desk, greeting guests who walk in and directing foot traffic. You will also answer and transfer phone calls. People with experience working with customers in retail or food service settings do great in this job.
Other daily tasks may include office upkeep/light cleaning tasks, filing, and data entry, assisting with meeting and event set-ups. Opportunity to grow into greater responsibilities are available. You may be asked to assist staff with other duties as assigned.
Important note: In order to be qualified for this position, YOU MUST HAVE a WORK STUDY award listed on your financial aid award letter. Work Study WAIT LIST is NOT the same as having work study. Required Qualifications Must have work-study and be available and week day availability. No weekends or evenings work hours available. You must be full-time enrolled for Fall 2025. This position will begin August 18, 2025.
