Hiring Unit: Agriculture and Environmental Sciences - Office of Experiential Learning & Community Outreach (OELCO)

Supervisor: Associate Dean, Alice Cherestes

Position: Office Assistant C

Rate: $20/hr

Weekly hours: 15-20 hours/week. Specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.  


Position Summary:

Under the direction of a unit head, the incumbent may perform some or all of the general administrative functions listed below in support of the Office of Experiential Learning & Community Outreach , located at Macdonald Campus:Provides general information regarding the unit's core activities.  Disseminate information to a variety of users through e-mails, newsletters, social media, promotion of events/tours,  and printed posters.  Assists with organization and advertisement of events, workshops, lectures, as well as production of a monthly electronic newsletter.  Monitors registration for each event.  Prepares correspondence/confirmation, and processes applications and award payments for the SEE Fund.  Must possess demonstrated knowledge of use of software such as MS Office suite, creation of web forms, Adobe, etc.  Compiles simple reports.  Carries out tasks related to guided tours, liaison with faculty units, and payments [requiring basic knowledge of some Banner FIS processes, queries for deposits, IDC, invoice payments, fund balances & analysis, expenses claims, etc.] . Monitors financial transactions.  Acts as resource person to resolve issues that may arise in relation to the planning and organization of unit's activities.  This is not a complete list of tasks that may be assigned to the incumbent.


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in the field of work
