Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in San Francisco, California. This is a Long-term Contract position that requires strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach to serve vulnerable populations effectively. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth office operations while maintaining professionalism and reliability.
Responsibilities:
• Sort and organize incoming mail, ensuring timely distribution to the appropriate recipients.
• Accurately log checks and maintain proper records for tracking purposes.
• Oversee vendor management tasks, including coordinating services and resolving issues.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners to facilitate smooth operations.
• Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Maintain a high level of reliability and punctuality to support daily office functions.
• Use basic office tools and Microsoft Outlook to manage correspondence and scheduling.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all administrative tasks.
• Assist with other general office duties as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements
• Proficient in basic office skills, including mail handling and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for managing emails and calendars.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse groups.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Reliable and consistent attendance is essential for this role.
• Compassionate and understanding when working with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred.
