Position: Ocean Import Agent

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Provide and process rate quotes and service orders for shipments while maintaining customer satisfaction Invoice shipments Compile reports and provide support to other staff members Resolve customer issues by investigating transactions, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management Work in conjunction with sales and management to establish, implement, and maintain client specific needs Ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and local & federal regulations Coordinate the transportation of goods ocean Prepare and process required documentation for International Import and Export Transportation Track and monitor shipments, providing regular status updates to customers Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent years of experience Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization Complete understanding of export process including but not limited to: AMS, ISF, and Clearance process understanding Import process and timing of each operations function Cargo routing, US rail network for containers, LCL routing Basic to advanced computer skills Ability to establish priorities Previous experience using Cargo Wise Solid understanding of ocean industry, vendors, routing, and system structure Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding import and exports Previous knowledge of cargo operations preferred Multilingual a plus
