**Overview** **Helen M Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital - West Shore** ***A joint venture between Select Medical and UPMC Pinnacle*** Mechanicsburg, PA _Brand new unit inside of UPMC West Shore!_ **Occupational Therapist (OT)** **– Inpatient Rehabilitation** **PRN** **Responsibilities** Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery. **Specific Duties** + Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals + Participate in discharge planning including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment **Qualifications** You will demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each patient feels informed and understood, as well as heard. You are passionate about providing superior quality care and you are an inventive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment. **Minimum requirements:** + Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Physical Therapy. + Current State licensure (or eligibility for State licensure) required. + Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date. **Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:** + Some supervisory experience is preferred. **Additional Data** We employ over 50,000 people across the country and provide quality care to approximately 80,000 patients each and every day across our four divisions.
