Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Irving MacArthur is looking for an occupational therapist with a passion for treating hands and the orthopedic population. We are a multi-disciplinary and multi-specialty clinic that offers PT, OT, and Speech services. This clinic serves patients of all ages and offers an excellent opportunity for clinical growth and mentorship. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, organized, and flexible, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Previous experience with hands and/or CHT is preferred but not required. We will support training to meet the needs of this position. New grads are welcome to apply!
Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessmentPatient Case Load Average: 8-10 patients a dayTimely and accurate documentation using Therapy SourceInterpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reportsEnsuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accuratelyPromoting continuous quality improvementInstructing and counseling patients/families as needed Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational TherapyCurrent State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practiceHand Therapy CertificationCardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification requiredAbility to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients Additional DataEqual Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
