Title: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness- Morgantown WV

Status: Per diem / PRN / As Needed

 

 

 

HealthWorks in Morgantown, WV is seeking a per diem or PRN occupational therapist to treat upper extremity patients, to work in conjunction with our current certified hand therapist (CHT). This is a per diem position with current Monday, Tuesday and Friday hours.

 

This is an upper extremity caseload for a hand therapy experienced OT consisting of hand, elbow and shoulder injuries. An ideal OT has previous upper extremity experience comfortable solo in an outpatient center. 

 

We need a dependable and flexible clinician able to cover at our Maple Drive location and look to expand hand therapy in satellite centers as our referrals grow. CHT is a PLUS but not required to be considered. Level II Fieldwork in hands is a minimum.

 

 

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Fridays to start

Responsibilities Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).Build Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.Innovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.Leadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.  Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapyState Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)CPR certificationValid state driver’s license
