Overview
PRN - As Needed Schedule
Perform Occupational Therapy Evaluations. Establish Occupational Therapy treatment plans. Treat patients in a variety of settings including: Acute Care, Transitional Care Unit, IP Acute Rehab . Patient population served include pediatric , adolescent, adult, geriatric. Pr ovide patient/family education. Perform appropriate documentatio n in electronic medical record. Participate in patient care confere nces/ staffing as appropriate. Supervise support personnel including Certified Occupationa l Therap ist Assistants and Rehab Aides.

Responsibilities
+ Perform Occupational Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patient’s physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations. A variety of diagnoses and settings served include but are not limited to Acute Care, Transitional Car e Unit, IP Acute Rehab . Perform specialized evaluations including wheelchair evaluations and lymphedema.
+ Provide Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law . Fabrication/ fitting of splints, therapeutic garments, adaptive equipment.
+ Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Occupational Therapy and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant students as assigned by CCCE.
+ Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and Rehab Aides .
+ Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions .
+ Participate in patient care conferences/ staffing as appropriate . Acute care- Complex Care meeting . Transitional Care Unit- Patient staffing . IP Acute Rehab- Patient staffing.
Qualifications
Education :
Certificate, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program .
License(s)/Certifi c ation(s):
Current IA and IL Occupational Therapy licensure (or eligible)
Current CPR certification.
