Summary
Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our team.
Job Summary:
Provides a variety of occupational health services to Cancer Center team members focusing on regulatory compliance. Assists the Cancer Center in hiring and maintaining team members. Provides initial medical assessment, first aid, and referrals for personal and occupational illnesses.
Responsibilities:
Performs pre-placement health screens which include occupational and personal medical history, urine drug testing, vision testing and immunization evaluation. Assists Workers Compensation Representative and Occupational Health Supervisor on the follow-up of worker’s compensation cases Performs post-accident testing. Performs phlebotomy procedures. Manages medical surveillance programs in accordance to OSHA regulatory compliance. Participates in follow-up and assessment post exposures (infectious, chemical, and environmental). Provides educational programs for team members. Assists with administration of Center wide team member vaccination and screening programs such as influenza and TB. Participates in cross-functional areas (Environmental Safety and Health, Infection Control, Human Resources). Other duties as assigned.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience in an Employee or Occupational Health clinic in a hospital or industrial area, Emergency Department or Intensive Care Workers' Compensation experience including post injury follow-up, claim management Knowledge of immunizations and protocols pertaining to hospital compliances Competent in Microsoft Office applications Experience with occupational health software system Experience in an Employee or Occupational Health clinic in a hospital or industrial area - Highly Preferred Experience using an employee health information system - Preferred Active FL RN License COHN Certification - Preferred Associate’s degree in nursing or related field Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Nursing - PreferredASN and/or BSN must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution.
