What this job involves –

The Occupancy Planner provides strategic occupancy planning expertise for our client's portfolio. You'll leverage deep understanding of space supply and demand to develop scenario and occupancy plans while serving as the subject matter expert in workplace solutions. This role requires exceptional client relationship management and strategic thinking to drive data-informed decisions that optimize space utilization while increasing productivity.

What is your day to day?

Developing and managing occupancy strategies that align with corporate guidelines and business requirementsAnalyzing the client's portfolio to identify space optimization opportunities and create site-specific planning strategiesCreating detailed space specifications, seating charts with multiple layout options and cost analysesCollaborating with business unit leaders on headcount forecasts and resolving discrepancies between projectionsPreparing and presenting quarterly reports on headcount projections, supply and capacity informationCoordinating with project management teams to implement construction projects and plan strategic migrationsImplementing mobility programs and analyzing utilization data to inform space planning recommendationsEducating stakeholders on space policies, standards, and protocols to ensure complianceDriving optimal occupancy planning solutions

Desired experience and technical skills  

Required

Work experience in occupancy or space planning for corporate clients; or interior office planning, furniture planning/management, move/project management, or related Facilities function in a corporate real estate setting  Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups, formulas)Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and articulate findings clearlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with executive-level clientsDemonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problemsExperience in occupancy planning, workplace strategy, or related field

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related fieldWorking knowledge of office design principles and trends, such as mobile or collaborative workplacesExperience with data visualization and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) to effectively communicate planning strategiesFamiliarity with project management principles and practices
