Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary English Teacher to join our Bridges program. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping students achieve academic success and personal growth. This position requires a creative and flexible approach to teaching, with a focus on individualized instruction and student engagement. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and implement engaging English curriculum tailored to the needs of alternative education students. + Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning. + Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development. + Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student education. + Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences. + Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Job Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). + New York State teaching certification in 7-12 English. + Experience working with alternative education students is highly desirable. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs. + Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
