Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The QA Manager is responsible for managing the quality outcome activities and for the design, implementation, and coordination of systems for collection, analysis, and reporting of data to support Quality Management objectives. This includes but is not limited to organizational and department-specific process improvement activities. The QO Manager must be able to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relations, maintain confidentiality of all data, information, and activities, and be able to perform detailed, concentrated work with limited supervision. The QO Manager must also be able to prioritize projects and demonstrate ability to organize and oversee quality outcome projects. + You will manage the quality outcome activities and coordinates the design and implementation of data collection, and the analysis and presentation of data from a variety of sources to support QM department and facility initiatives. Such collection may include surveys, audits or chart reviews, computer queries or literature searches. + You will demonstrate ability to perform and coordinate clinical chart abstractions and reviews, both concurrently and/or retrospectively based on indicator data collection and/or cases referred for investigation, etc. as required or requested. Oversee quality systems analyses, including at least the following, in a timely manner to meet review and reporting requirements. + You will function as a resource for medical staff and hospital departments to ensure integration of hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. + You will maintain familiarity with regulatory Standards, Rules, and Regulations, that govern ongoing performance measurement and clinical improvement expectations. Participate in regulatory compliance activities as requested by Quality Outcomes Director. You will function as a hospital representative at Partnership and/or Division meetings, i.e. Division Quality Outcomes Improvement committee as assigned. + You will comply with all hospital policies and procedures, safety requirements, and emergency preparedness requirements. **What qualifications you will need:** + Minimum 3 years medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care facility; quality analyst experience preferred. + Moderate to advanced computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Ability to develop, maintain, and operate database systems as required to perform quality outcome duties. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Comprehend complex clinical data. + Organize, prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. + Working knowledge of data analysis. + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; prefer BSN or Master’s degree St. David's South Austin Medical Center (http://www.stdavids.com/locations/st-davids-south-austin-medical-center) , which is part of St. David's HealthCare.
