Overview:

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist is a registered nurse with advanced expertise and clinical experience, responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff and healthcare teams. This role involves teaching advanced clinical skills, fostering professional development, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices. The Nursing Professional Development Specialist also designs training materials, provides mentorship, and conducts in-service education sessions to enhance nursing knowledge and performance. This position requires advanced clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a deep commitment to enhancing nursing education and patient care.

Experience

3 years of clinical RN (Registered Nurse) experience REQUIRED

Education

Master’s Level Degree REQUIRED

License/Certification

Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) REQUIREDA multistate compact of Virginia RN license in good standing REQUIREDBasic Life Support (BLS) REQUIRED

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$66,830.40-$111,384.00. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
