The Nursing Pathway Program Admissions & Advising Manager is responsible for advancing enrollment efforts, advising, student on-boarding, and continuous programming for the College of Nursing's entry to practice pathways including the Masters Direct Entry Program, transfer, and partner programs. In addition, the role is responsible for managing the ICON undergraduate enrollment and advising coordinator position (focused on traditional student enrollment)and ensures seamless coordination within the college and with University admissions. The role develops and maintains partnerships with prospective students, health professions advisors, and community organizations. The manager provides expert guidance on academic requirements, supports the student transition process, and promotes student engagement through co-curricular programming and outreach. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Nursing and plays a key role in expanding ICON's national visibility and ensuring a seamless admissions and advising experience for students.
Primary position responsibilities:
Admissions, Advising & Enrollment Manager: Manges staff and operations for the college of nursing related to recruitment, admissions, advising, and registration. Coordinates with CON leadership, Student Financial Services, Student Success and the registrar office to ensure smooth on boarding, enrollment, and advising.Pipeline and Partnership Development: Cultivates strong relationships with health professions advisors at universities and community colleges to facilitate recruitment efforts. Collaborates with academic and community stakeholders to advance transfer pipelines and promote nursing career pathways to nontraditional students (masters,second degree, adult learners, etc.)Recruitment and Outreach Coordination: Designs and executes recruitment presentations and promotional events both regionally and nationally. Develops a targeted calendar of career fairs, open houses, and community visits, and serves as a key liaison to external institutions and advisors. Coordinates events in collaboration with campus resources and event services, as well as admissions (including weekend events, evening programming, etc)Communication/Data Analysis: Manages communication flow and supports ongoing relationship management with students, external partners (community colleges, second degree college pathways, healthcare organizations). Develops and utilizes data systems to track student admissions metrics, retention rates, and engagement strategies. Student Engagement: Facilitates co-curricular and community-building programming aligned with the nursing pathway mission. Coordinates with campus partners such as Student Success & Flourishing to enrich the student experience. Manages and coordinates student organizations and cohort groups to support ongoing collaboration and connection.Advising and Program Guidance: Provides support to prospective and incoming students, including guidance on admissions requirements, rotation schedules, electives, and academic planning. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of program requirements to deliver timely, accurate, and personalized advising.Marketing & Resource Management: Develops resources for future and enrolled students related to admissions criteria, advising, and program requirements (handbooks, handouts, website, etc.) specific to the needs of each pathway (Masters Direct Entry, Partners, Transfers).The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
