Lab attendants will assist the LRC coordinator or the Nursing Assistant (NA) instructor in the set up and cleanup of the LRC areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist during LRC activities under the direction of the LRC coordinator/ NA instructor.Organize, set up, take down and clean equipment needed for supervised coaching, open supervised practice and check-offs in the Learning Resource Center.Set up, operate and troubleshoot technology intensive equipment and software (i.e. Nursing manikins, desktop and laptop computers, LCD projectors, electronic medical records).Assist the NA instructor in the preparation of lab activities. Department Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. The individual is expected to follow College work rules and policies. Knowledge of how to effectively and sensitively work with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives. Ability to communicate effectively and positively, both orally and in writing, using the English language with or without the use of an interpreter. Able to work as a positive team member to solve problems and achieve goals; establish working relationships with students and staff. Able to communicate effectively with faculty, including notifying them if help is needed for set up or take down. Able to demonstrate essential job functions outlined above. Ergonomic Requirements Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in a lab or office environment. Requires the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods of time. Routing lifting of under 10 pounds is required 50% of the time. Persons in this position may be exposed to blood or potentially infectious materials. All individual are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
