**LOCATION:** Baylor Scott & White Health, Rowlett, Texas This role will reside at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Lake Point in Rowlett, Texas, now until 2027. Note: Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level **Job Summary** As the Nursing Excellence Program Manager, you guide nursing practices. You work to achieve awards like Magnet or Pathway to Excellence. Knowledge of award requirements is essential. You assess readiness and prepare the organization. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Develop and maintain different processes and systems needed to obtain Magnet or Pathway to Excellence title. + Perform tasks, such as assessments, to prepare for Nursing Excellence award; act as liaison between CNO and managers. + Be responsible for creating and carrying out shared decision-making structures and initiatives to enhance the quality through clinical councils. + Prepare for Magnet or Pathway to Excellence application submission, collect data, and manage events during visits or surveys. + Help with development, benchmarks, and safety monitoring for nurses. Work with other hospitals on nursing excellence. **Key Success Factors** + Showcase a deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards. + Navigate the laws, regulations, and standards relevant to this field. + Promote health, reduce risk, and manage illness and disease effectively. + Engage with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Take on challenges with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. + Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. + Exhibit skills in general computer skills. **Belonging Statement** We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported, and that our workforce should be reflective of the communities we serve. **Qualifications** + Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. + Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field. + Have a valid and current registration as a Registered Nurse License.
