Nursing Director - Surgery Center

The Director of Nursing is accountable for the direction, provision and quality of nursing services provided to the patients of the Hunterdon Center for Surgery (HCS).
Responsibilities:
Maintains the standards of DOH, AAAHC, OSHA and specialty recommendations. Supports the leadership philosophy, Mission Statements and objectives of HCS. This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations and staff of the surgery center.
Duties include ensuring coordination of care, improving patient care processes and outcomes, providing leadership and education for professional nursing practice, developing and maintaining policy and procedure manual and organizational plan, as well as QAPI and Infection Prevention program for the nursing services. Also responsible for selecting and maintaining competent staff, operating in a cost-effective manner. Leads approximately 25 employees. Is a member of a professional nursing organization.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is Required.
Current RN Licensure in the state of New Jersey. Specialty certification in nursing administration is preferred.
This position requires a minimum of (3) three years of clinical experience in patient care management/administration in a licensed healthcare facility.
Certificate and/or Advanced Technical Training in OR. CNOR Certification or CASC Certification is preferred. If not certified, certification must be obtained within two years of hire. BLS is required.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to identify problems and resolve issues using a systems approach. Skills in customer service, computer literate, clinical familiarity with Operating Room, Endoscopy, Recovery/PACU, Preoperative/Stage II Recovery and Central Processing.
