Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner to project a positive image of the department and hospital. Ensures that contacts with other health care members is friendly helpful and courteous. **Other Information** **Other information:** **EDUCATION** + High school graduate or equivalent. **EXPERIENCE** + None required **LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION** + Certified by the N. C. State Board of Nursing as a NAII. Certified by the N. C. Department of Facility Services as a NAI. BCLS Certification. **OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS** + Good interpersonal, communication and observation skills are essential. Understanding of patient care needs according to developmental stages for various age groups. **WORK ENVIRONMENT** + Exposure to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and other infectious diseases requiring the use of protective equipment; exposure to other hazards, such as radiation, toxic waste, chemical hazards based on the departments. Possible exposure to conditions, such as fumes, noxious odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** + Standing, sitting, walking and working throughout the shift. Lifting, pulling, turning and pushing patients daily. Ability to use appropriate Safe-Patient Handling equipment. Visual acuity, auditory and verbal skills necessary.
