Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for promoting evidence-based practice and advancing nursing knowledge through research and scholarly activities. Collaborates and consults with clinical nurses, nursing students, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to identify research opportunities, design studies, analyze and disseminate findings.

Essential Functions:
-Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing research plan aligned with the hospital's mission and strategic goals.
-Mentor and support clinical nurses at various career stages, fostering their professional development and growth.
-Oversee and coordinate nursing research projects, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and research best practices.
-Design and conduct nursing studies, including evidence based practice, quantitative and qualitative research, and quality improvement initiatives.
-Disseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, and contributions to nursing and healthcare literature.
-Collaborate with clinical nurses to implement evidence-based practices and research findings into patient care protocols and workflows.
Qualifications
Education
PhD in Nursing or DNP Required.

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
Experience
Nursing research experience 2-3 years required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have experience in teaching, developing research projects, supporting clinical teams and disseminating findings through posters, presentations, or peer reviewed journals.
