Job Summary

Summary<br>The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. This position is a Psychiatric NP and focuses on providing care to patients with mental health disorders.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population. <br>
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations. <br>
-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. <br>
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. <br>
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. <br>

Education
Master's Degree Nursing required

Nurse Practitioner [NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Experience
Experience as a Nurse Practitioner 0-1 year required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic working relationship with clients.
- Thorough professional knowledge of the practice of psychiatry.
- Have the ability and training to prescribe to, and manage patients on psychiatric medications.
- Actively support program goals and system improvements/changes.
