Description:Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital has an opening in the Pre-Admission Testing unit for a Nurse Practitioner!

General Responsibilities  

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for preparing adult patients for their admission and surgical experience. This includes their medical and anesthesia history, physical assessment, and the planning /evaluation of patient needs to facilitate efficient and safe pre-operative care.                                 

Education and Training:

MSN required

Certification and Licensure:

Current Pennsylvania state RN license requiredPennsylvania Nurse Practitioner LicenseNurse Practitioner CertificationBCLS requiredACLS preferredIV Certification preferred

Skills:

Strong Physical Assessment SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong Organizational skills Demonstrates ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skillsAbility to perform diversified duties with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy. Computer skills preferred.

Experience:

Medical Surgical Nursing experience preferredPrior clinical experience preferred.
