The Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute's Division of Cardiovascular Surgery stands at the forefront as a leading provider of comprehensive services in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery. *Advanced Practitioner Role Scope * · The advanced practice provider (PA or APRN) provides continuity of care for cardiac surgery patients in an ambulatory office setting. · Perioperative preparation and postoperative management are done in collaboration with the surgeon in the office and hospital settings. · Responsibilities include in-depth pre-op histories and physicals, ordering additional pre-op tests, case reviews with the physicians and APP’s, and on-going ambulatory post op care. *Schedule: *Monday through Friday with no weekends nor call. *Advanced Practitioners Enjoy* At Hartford HealthCare newly graduated and experienced providers are provided with the support and mentorship they need to succeed through the job, classroom, and procedural training.
