**Work location:** IEEM atTexas Health Dallas, 7232 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231
**Work hours:** Fulltime, 32 hours; Tuesday-Friday (7:30am – 4:30 pm).

+ The Nurse Practitioner will support the physicians and work with the clinic staff to care for a unique population of patients.

**Here’s What You Need**
· Bachelor’s degree - graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas required
· Master’s degree level nurse practitioner required.
· Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) national certification required.
· DEA and DPS prescription authority
· Two years’ experience as a nurse practitioner (ICU, CVICU, cardiology or ER experience desirable), preferred.
· Experience with outpatient clinics preferred; experience with exercise testing, strongly preferred
**What You Will Do**
· The NP’s primary responsibility is building the newly launched dyspnea clinic, assisting with and performing clinical visits, performing, and coordinating invasive/non-invasive Cardiopulmonary Exercise tests and supporting the Neuromuscular Disease clinic in both patient care and procedures. NP will serve as a backup for the Sports Cardiology/Exercise Medicine Clinic and Syncope & Autonomic Dysfunction clinic.
· Responsible for managing and coordinating health care for a unique population of patients (from 12 years old through the elderly) with complex disorders such as dyspnea, neuromuscular disorders, as well as athletes and others with exercise intolerance.
· Must be able to work independently and interdependently, collaborating with the physicians, Clinical Operations Manager, and multidisciplinary team.
· Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and therapeutic measures relative to patient needs.
· Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment modalities.
· Maintain relationship with patients to monitor effectiveness of interventions.
· Monitor patients undergoing cardiopulmonary exercise testing
· Educate patients and family about medical issues, use of prescribed medications, interventions, and therapeutic modalities.
· Strong computer skills working with EMR (EPIC), Word, and Excel.
· Strong organizational skills.
