**Job Description Summary:**
The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with all members of the infusion team to enhance the environment of patient focused infusion care and demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care.
**Job Description:**
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Meets the intent and is in compliance with the Practice Agreement with Medical Director.
+ Works collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure highest level of patient care.
+ Providing medical care including but not limited to: screenings, interventions, counseling and patient education; performing comprehensive physical examinations, and therapy side effects.
+ Participate in the clinical review process of new referrals for appropriateness of therapy and infusion center setting.
+ Works to establish rapport, when appropriate, with referring providers/physicians.
+ Prescribing medications to patients as needed for use in the infusion center.
+ Prepare patients for infusion or injection and deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines.
+ Administering IV infusion, IM, SC therapy; oversight of the patient during the infusion process.
+ Oversees the IMC nurse and any other clinical staff to ensure safe and efficient treatment for all patients.
+ Ensure patient care is documented in the electronic health record. Establishing Evaluation and Management documention on each patient at the start of therapy or as otherwise appropriate.
+ Openly communicates with medical director and referring/prescribing providers regarding order clarification, patient status, and plan of care.
+ Demonstrates recognition of adverse reactions requiring referral to local emergency department. Immediate communication with medical director, referring physician and emergency department when appropriate. Supervise promt transfer of patients as needed.
+ Assist in keeping the IMC clean and disinfected between patient use.
+ Assist and maintain medical inventory and supplies.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
+ Current Nurse Practitoner certification and license in South Carolina
+ Current BLS CPR certification
+ Professional Liability Insurance
+ Clinical experience as a registered nurse and/or nurse practitioner
+ Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
+ Proficient IV skills and previous experience administering IV infusion therapy
+ Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility
+ Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
+ Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
+ Willingness to take on non-clinical (administrative, marketing) and clinical tasks, as necessary and as a part of a small team, for the efficient and effective operation of a small company
+ Excellent clinical, communication and organizational skills
+ Meets ADA requirements for position
Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $90,200.25-$150,326.40
