Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Under the direction of the surgery center Administrator and division Vice President of Operations (“VPO”), PO, the Total Joint Nurse Navigator (“TJNN”) helps to coordinate and implement the Total Joint Program (“TJP”) by working collaboratively with center leadership and colleagues to spearhead patient education, teaching, while overseeing initiatives associated with the program and ensuring best practices are in place and followed. **OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:** + Collaborate with Physicians, affiliated hospitals, surgery centers, and other resources in the market. + Create, review and maintain Total Joint Coordinator playbook for center + Responsible for the pre-operative assessment and evaluation of each potential total joint patient. + Responsible for patient education included but not limited to 1:1 teaching and preoperative classes. + Utilizes and monitors a data tracking system for orthopedic outcomes through the care continuum such as patient satisfaction, surgical data, patient outcomes, and identifying areas that require improvement, in order to provide key statistics and outcomes at governance meetings. + Manage, monitor and assess current quality metrics required by national organizations and evidence-based practice for optimal clinical outcomes. + Facilitates quarterly total joint meetings with surgeons and multidisciplinary team members (if applicable). + Develops, facilitates, and monitors selected performance metrics and ensures compliance with all activities required to achieve and maintain accreditation through AAAHC or The Joint commission. + Complete post-op/discharge instructions with the patient and caregiver in conjunction with the surgery center recovery/PACU staff. + Works in partnership with center nursing staff to develop strategies to improve CHAPS scores to meet or exceed the surgery center’s established goals. + Works in conjunction with leadership and nursing staff to ensure competency and understanding the needs of the orthopedic patient. **EXPERIENCE:** + Minimum of 5 years of applicable clinical experience preferred. + Supervisory experience preferred. + Operational and strategic development experience preferred. + Minimum 2 years in an acute care orthopedic setting preferred. + BSN required. **CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:** + Registered Nurse – active RN License as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure + Valid BLS + Orthopedic Nurse Certification (“ONC”) preferred North Florida SurgicalPavilion (https://northfloridasurgicalpavilion.com/) located in Gainesville, Florida.
