Job Title: Nurse Manager - Outpatient OncologyLocation: Lipson Cancer Institute - Linden Oaks & Rochester General HospitalHours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm SUMMARY:As a Nursing Manager, you are responsible for developing and sustaining an environment that supports excellence in clinical practice and patient care on the designated unit. Your demonstrated leadership and customer service ability is important to departmental success.
OUR Department:
Hematology/Medical Oncology Unit/Infusion Center is here to provide services required for care of cancer and blood disorders to adults and geriatric inpatients and outpatients. Services include: chemotherapeutics, laboratory studies, bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, infusion, transfusions and consultations. Hospital responsibilities include the medical direction of the Cancer Center. Other ancillary services include navigation, social work, spiritual care and home care service connections.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Unit Management. Develop programs and strategies to monitor the quality of patient care and patient outcomes; promote collaboration with medical and administrative colleagues to establish unit and daily operation goals
+ Staff Management. Identify staffing needs; collaborate with the Director to develop and implement recruitment plans; prepare, monitor and maintain salary and non-salary budgets; participate in professional development of staff
+ Leadership. Demonstrated ability to influence others in both internal and external environments to promote optimal individual patient care and healthcare services to the public
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ BSN required
+ NYS RN License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Highly Motivated, Self-Starter
+ Oncology experience strongly preferred
+ Leadership experience strongly preferred
EDUCATION:
BS: Nursing (Required)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:
$85,000.00 - $120,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
