Job Summary
The Manager, Surgical Services is responsible for the daily operations and coordination of care across surgical departments, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative services. This role provides leadership to clinical and non-clinical staff, supports quality and safety initiatives, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Manager plays a key role in driving departmental performance, supporting employee engagement, and aligning surgical services with hospital-wide operational, financial, and strategic goals.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field preferred 3-6 years of experience in surgical services or perioperative care, with demonstrated clinical knowledge required 2-4 years of progressive leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of surgical services workflows, patient care standards, and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff effectively. Ability to analyze data, implement performance improvement initiatives, and achieve measurable results. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments and with medical staff. Proficiency in budget development, financial management, and operational planning. Ability to manage change and support innovation in a complex, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards including CMS, The Joint Commission, and relevant state guidelines.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required Clinical Area of Specialty Certification in Perioperative Nursing (e.g., CNOR) preferredINDLEAD
