Directly accountable to the Director of Nursing (DON) or Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the NM oversees the continuous operation of a specified nursing unit. Demonstrating critical thinking, creativity, and resource management, the NM achieves quality performance, fosters positive employee relations, and ensures compliance with hospital guidelines. The NM excels in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading both professional and technical teams to deliver exceptional services to our patient population. By assuring quality care and demonstrating efficient use of resources, the NM upholds the highest standards of healthcare delivery. As a change agent, the NM is responsible for implementing necessary changes within the assigned areas, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires active participation in outstanding customer service, fostering respectful and equally valued relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders. The NM collaborates across all levels of nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and executive and physician leaders to enhance patient and family experiences, advocate for patient safety, and contribute to the professional development of the nursing staff.
