Nurse Manager Job, Days and Evenings shift with call, Med Surg 4 North

Powers Health is hiring a Nurse Manager for 4 North to work days with call at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The 4 North Unit is a 24 hour medical/surgical unit located on the fourth floor of the hospital.  Patients over the age of 12 years may be admitted to this unit; however the average age is 65. Most common types of patients admitted to 4 North include patients with respiratory conditions, fever, dehydration, renal failure, electrolyte imbalance, gastrointestinal conditions, post CVA, wound infection, orthopedic cases and general surgical cases.  

Nurse Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning, staffing, organizing and coordinating the operations of a patient care area. Develops and implements the policies, procedures and standards of the unit.  Assures the highest quality and standards of care for the patients on the unit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Licensed Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Indiana. Bachelor Degree preferred with 3-5 years of unit specific experience. Prior supervisory/management experience highly desirable. Maintains current CPR Certification and safety and infection control validations.
