**Description:**
**Position Purpose:**
At **Mercy Medical Center** , the Nurse Manager will lead the Endoscopy unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is responsible for operational leadership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and performance outcomes.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Lead and manage daily operations of the Endoscopy department.
+ Oversee staffing coordination, training, hiring, and performance management.
+ Ensure compliance with infection control standards, DPH, The Joint Commission, and SGNA guidelines.
+ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives, policy development, and patient satisfaction strategies.
+ Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and compassionate care.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
+ Valid and current Connecticut RN license.
+ Demonstrated nursing leadership experience in the Endocopy and Gastroenterology settings, specifically in roles such as Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager.
**Preferred:**
+ The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of combined clinical and leadership experience in Endocopy and Gastroenterology settings.
+ Charge Nurse experience may be considered if it includes substantial responsibility for staff coordination, patient care oversight, and operational leadership.
+ Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
+ Familiarity with SGNA standards and guidelines.
