**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** At **Mercy Medical Center** **,** the Nurse Manager of the **Endoscopy Unit** includes staffing coordination, competency assessment of staff, regulatory oversight, fiscal operations, and annual performance appraisal process. **What you will do:** + Assists the Director with Performance Improvement activities, unit and patient satisfaction issues, and policy development. + Ensures high-quality standards of care and a safe environment in compliance with infection control standards, specialty organizations, DPH, and The Joint Commission standards and recommendations, and assures consistent implementation by all staff. + A track record of effectively partnering and communicating with physicians to achieve objectives and results. Must demonstrate the ability to affect positive medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians. **Minimum Qualifications** : + **Education** : Bachelor of Science BSN in Nursing required. A Master of Science in Nursing MSN is preferred. + **Registered Nurse RN Licensure:** Must hold a valid and current Massachusetts RN license. + **Experience:** 3 or more years of progressive nursing management experience in an **Endoscopy** **Department** is required. 5 or more years of a combination of **Endoscopy nursing** experience between clinical nursing and management is strongly preferred. + **BLS or CPR certification:** Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. Instructorship is preferred. + **ACLS certification:** Certification and Instructorship strongly preferred in critical care areas. + Requires the ability to practice utilizing **SGNA** (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) recommended standards and guidelines. **Position Highlights and Benefits** **:** Full-Time – 40 hours/week **Ministry/Facility Information** Mercy Medical Center has established itself as one of the leading providers of health care services in Western Massachusetts.
