Position Responsibilities:

Oversees 24/7 nursing operations in the Emergency Room, ensuring clinical quality, customer service, and cost-effectiveness.Leads cross-functional teams and implements rapid improvements to support the Medical Center’s national and international clinical excellence goals.Manages Emergency Room activities by directing team leaders and supervisors and ensuring ongoing operational efficiency.Develops and enhances new or existing programs to align with unit and Medical Center objectives.Ensures consistent, timely, high-quality, and cost-effective clinical outcomes across all processes.Maintains efficient patient flow and ensures compliance with established waiting, triage, and throughput times.Upholds clinical care excellence through licensing, incident reporting, corrective action, and regulatory compliance.Introduces innovative practices to improve patient, family, physician, and staff satisfaction.Provides leadership and guidance during complex or stressful situations, ensuring fair and timely resolution.Analyzes staffing patterns and adjusts schedules based on patient acuity, technology needs, and budget constraints.Oversees the implementation and monitoring of performance improvement and quality control programs.Ensures compliance with all Medical Center safety and regulatory policies.Continuously assesses services to identify areas for operational improvement and quality enhancement.

 

Qualifications:

Licensure/Registration/Certification:BLS and ACLS requiredTAC, AMPC, and/or PALS certification is preferredLicensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is requiredEducation:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, Health Administration, or related field is strongly preferredExperience:Five years of leadership experience in an Emergency Room or related healthcare operational roleTen years of experience in nursing/healthcare preferred
