Position Summary Provide assistance to the director in the management of the daily operations of the Emergency Department. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Oversight and responsibility for staffing and operations 2. Human Resources Resource Management 3. Regulatory Compliance/TJC/ EMTALA 4.Outcomes 5. Community Outreach Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 2-3 years previous Emergency Department experience Preferred: Minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience. License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ RN License, CPR, ACLS, PALS, IV Certified Preferred: CEN. Must obtain CEN within 3-5 years of hire. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Systems thinker, role model, and coach. Preferred: Excellent communication and IPR skills. Must be able to function in a shared governance environment.
