Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with professional practices and ethical standards. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Provides direct patient care, including treatments under supervision of an RN. + Provides basic patient care services such as ambulating, transferring, and positioning; personal hygiene assistance, prescribed bowel and bladder program assistance, meal set-up, etc. + Assists with procedures and treatments within scope of training and competency validation, as directed and supervised by the registered nurse. **Required:** + Currently and actively enrolled in an accredited associate degree or Bachelor of Science (ADN/BSN) nursing program + Successfully completed both theory and clinical aspects of "Fundamentals of Nursing" and a clinical rotation, preferably medical/surgical nursing + BLS certification **Preferred:** + One year prior work experience as a nurse assistant **Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans**
