2112 Clinical Informaticist STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description Job Summary Plans, coordinates, implements, and maintains operation of electronic medical records systems for the facility. Reports to: Director of IT and dotted line to CNO FLSA: Non-exempt Essential Functions Develops competencies, education, and training of clinical end-users Designs screens, forms, data flow and processes with clinical relevance to automate clinical process and documentation of patient status and care provided. Determines clinical functions which are suitable for computer application consistent with patient-centered care, professional standards of clinical practice, and user satisfaction. Provides a clinical voice in technology-focused discussions at all levels of the organization. Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to clinical practice and CIS in conjunction with CNO and Director of Clinical Services. Coordinates the identification and collection of data needed to improve patient outcomes and meet regulatory requirements. Coordinates the implementation of clinical applications in manner that optimizes productivity, ensures patient confidentiality and system security. Serves as a liaison between the clinical departments and IT&S department to ensure clear and effective communication related to user needs and system capabilities. Nonessential Functions Performs other duties as assigned. • Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned. • Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS. • Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code. Organizational Expectations • Compliance to the STRH - Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.• Compliance to Dress Code Standards• Maintains regulatory compliance in departmental operations, including, but not limited to, The Joint Commission, CMS, federal financial regulations, and Tennessee state regulations.• Maintains competency in skills related to the operation of department and in leadership and management competencies.
