Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with analyst teams, clinicians, departmental leadership, quality, accreditation and regulatory agencies, to clarify needs, prioritize and guide effective design workflow, execute change, and facilitate adaptation to the electronic medical record. These workflows support improvement measures, patient safety enhancement, and continuous improvement in overall efficiency related to the electronic medical record Serve as a resource to end users for information systems and technology; effectively communicates system changes, workflow process changes, downtime procedures, etc. Contributes to the development of the practice of the profession within the institution and participates in the department’s clinical programs as well as participation in IT initiatives and programs. Oversight of the development and management of evidence-based Physician Order Sets across the Mcleod Health System, in accordance with clinical guidelines, regulatory agencies (CMS, DNV, Disease Specific Certifications) and organization standards. Rounds on clinical areas as needed on all McLeod Health campuses as applicable. Other duties as assigned.
